This DOES look excellent, but I would never DREAM of rinsing the olives. The amount of oil and salt you might get rid of doesn’t amount to anything when you’re only adding 10 olives to a salad this size. (My family in Italy grows olives, then cures and sells them. I know the work and like that goes into producing them, and it’s honestly an insult to do that to fantastic olives. They ALSO produce olive oil of course!) Please consider NOT rinsing them from now on. I promise it won’t hurt you.

Very Very excellent. I saw loin chops for very high prices but instead bought a rack of lamb and cut up my own chops from that. Made these several times and they are awesome. Every dish of Dede’s I have tried has been fantastic. Thanks Dede!

@xnermeenx .. try some ev olive oil in the pan when you brown them. Also, I wouldn’t cook them with as much heat, no offense intended dede but you shouldn’t have chunks of meat stuck to the bottom of the pan when you’re cooking. Lastly, to have less of a gamy taste, be sure to wash them thoroughly and with the lemon juice you’re going to use in the recipe, just let the chops soak in that 15-30 minutes before you start cooking them.

  13. dedemed says:

@rmcdaniel423 yes you can certainly just bbq them after marinating them, they will be nice and tender and the bbq adds fantastic flavor :)

    Hey Dede,
Could the baking step be done in a Dutch Oven if I was camping and cooking over a campfire with nice coals? I’m starting to plot a Hafla for a huge group camping event I concentrate every year, and I want to serve a memorable apply of food.

Rosemary grows super simple in a sunny garden. Just one or two plants, planted in late spring, will give fresh rosemary for recipes all summer long. Then you can dry and save what’s left at the end of the season. Grow an herb garden! It’s simple, cheap, and tastes sooooo excellent!

  16. dedemed says:

@Lilly1Flower Just add it to your list of grocery to buy :)

  21. xnermeenx says:

    Hey Dede,
I tried this recipe a few days ago and I don’t know what I did incorrect, the lamb chops stunk so baaad (they were this australian Halal lamb chops I bought from shop rite) and here was soooo much smoke in the house while it was on the stove… I couldn’t really taste much of the rosemary and garlic- I reckon maybe it should be marinated overnight- but yeah, it didn’t turn out so well :( ((

  26. dedemed says:

    I know you’ll like it :)

  27. dedemed says:

yes, American-Lebanese. This is Mediterranean Style cooking :)

  28. dedemed says:

well that’s why I like to add the lemon juice, garlic and rosemary…all 3 are very strong flavors and the serration from the lemon juice tones down the gamey lamb taste. Just give this recipe a try, you’ll like it :)

  29. dedemed says:

    fantastic! :)

  30. dedemed says:

that’s right, maybe you can make it for a romantic dinner :)
